MARSTEK V6000

MARSTEK V6000 all-in-one cabinet under the eave of a farmhouse beside rice paddies, with ground-mounted solar panels
V6000: Waterproof 6 kW Inverter / 15 kWh Battery All-in-One Solar Backup Station · Silvera Solar Power (AI-generated scene, official product design)

What it is: the V6000 is an all-in-one on/off-grid solar backup station. One floor-standing, IP65 cabinet combines a 6 kW pure-sine-wave inverter (12 kW peak), a 15,072 Wh LiFePO4 battery, 2 MPPT solar inputs (up to 9 kW PV), an AC grid input and a generator terminal. It charges four ways: solar, grid, generator, or solar + grid.

Who it's for: homes and small sites that need long brownout autonomy or are in remote / weak-grid areas (the e-Catalog positions it as "most efficient for remote areas"), and customers who may later parallel units or add batteries.

Best for

  • Whole-home or large-circuit backup during long brownouts (15 kWh on board).
  • Off-grid or weak-grid sites: 184–276 V wide AC input range "to tackle grid voltage fluctuations" (datasheet).
  • High solar capacity: two 4.5 kW PV channels, 80–500 V.
  • Growth: parallel up to 6 sets (6–36 kW) and add up to 5 extra batteries, to 90 kWh (datasheet).

Key features

From the V6000 datasheet (page 1) and manual:

  • 6 kW pure sine wave inverter, peak 12 kW; 6 kW AC output, 6 kW EPS.
  • 2 MPPTs for max. 9 kW PV input.
  • Parallel scaling up to 6 sets, total power 6–36 kW.
  • 15 kWh, expandable with up to 5 extra batteries, to 90 kWh. Battery packs recommended by MARSTEK connect to the EX-BAT port (manual §5.1).
  • Four charging methods: Solar / Grid / Generator / Solar + Grid.
  • Working modes (manual §6.1), set in the MARSTEK app:
    • Backup Mode (default): schedules grid and PV to keep SOC as close to 100% as possible. Use this when the V6000 is mainly a backup source.
    • Economic Mode: you set a Discharge SOC and a Charge SOC in the app (100% > Discharge SOC > Charge SOC > 0), and the V6000 schedules grid and PV for lower cost.
  • Connectivity: MARSTEK app; Wi-Fi / Bluetooth / RS-485 / RJ-45. Segment display.
  • IP65 waterproof and dustproof, sub-30 dB operation, natural cooling (fanless).
  • Charging 0–50 °C, discharging -10–50 °C; 4,000 m operating altitude (datasheet).
  • Ports (manual §5.1): PE point, ON/OFF system switch, EX-BAT, DO1/DO2, COM, PARALLEL, AC-IN, GEN, AC-OUT, PV-/PV+.
  • Protections (manual): insulation monitoring, residual current monitoring, DC reverse-polarity protection, AC OV/OC/SC protection, Type II DC/AC surge protection.

Source conflict: datasheet (220 V / 60 Hz) vs manual (230 V / 50 Hz)

The datasheet in Drive lists 220 V / 60 Hz values, which match the Philippine grid. The user manual lists 230 V / 50 Hz values. Several related numbers differ as a result. Both are shown below; for Philippine units, use the datasheet column and confirm the rating label on the delivered unit.

Other conflicts to be aware of
  • Warranty: the datasheet front page says "10 Years Warranty", but the warranty card pictured in the manual's packing list says "5 YEARS WARRANTY". Do not quote a warranty term until Silvera Solar Power confirms the local policy.
  • Dimensions: the e-Catalog text layer shows "61 × 25.2 × 77 cm" for the V6000, which does not match the manual's 510 × 235 × 1,155 mm. Use the manual value.

Installation & safety

Professional installation only

The manual states the whole system shall be installed and configured by professional technicians who are company-authorised, familiar with local electrical standards and safety regulations, formally trained and certified in ESS installation, and experienced in commissioning and documentation. After installation, users must not relocate components, modify wiring or non-user settings, or tamper with the smart meter or distribution-box connections.

From the V6000 manual (§1, §3, §4, §5, §7):

  • Orientation: install vertically. Do not tilt it forward, backward or sideways, or install it upside down.
  • Clearance: the site diagram shows clearances of ≥1,000 mm, ≥500 mm, ≥500 mm and ≥800 mm around the unit for heat dissipation and safety isolation. Follow the manual's drawing for which side each applies to.
  • Mounting steps: fix the wall bracket; level the unit with the two front feet so it cannot tip forward, with the wall bracket tight to the wall; mark, drill and anchor with M8 expansion bolts; install the ground wire through a PG cable gland using wire ferrules.
  • Wiring: all wiring to AC-IN, GEN, AC-OUT and PV must be done with the unit completely disconnected and de-energised. Use the manual's recommended wire gauges per interface.
  • Power off: AC IN, PV+ and PV- must all be disconnected before the unit can be shut down.
  • High voltage: internal components retain hazardous energy; wait at least 10 minutes after power-off. Deep maintenance or any work that opens the enclosure must be done only by certified technicians.
  • Routine checks: inspect at least once every six months; keep cooling parts unobstructed.
  • Storage: -20 to 60 °C, ≤95% RH, upright, at 50–60% SOC; top up every 1–2 months during long storage.
  • Fire and flood: the manual gives firefighting steps (CO2 or approved extinguishers for battery fires; Type ABC if the battery is not involved). Do not reuse a battery that has been submerged.
  • PPE and tools (manual §4.2.2): safety hat, goggles, dust mask, protective and insulating gloves, insulating shoes; power drill, screwdriver set, crimping and ferrule tools, RJ45 crimp tool, level, wire stripper and cutter, heat gun, and similar.
