Which MARSTEK product is right?

Answer three questions with the customer, then confirm with the backup calculator and a site survey.

1. Where will the power be used?

The customer…Start withWhy
Has a house and already has solar panels with a grid-tie inverterVENUS E 3.0AC-coupled: plugs in alongside any existing PV system; stores excess solar, powers the BACKUP socket in a brownout
Has a smaller home or apartment, wants basic backup and self-consumptionVENUS E MiniCompact 2 kWh AC-coupled storage
Is installing solar for the first time and wants battery storage tooMARS I PLUSHybrid inverter + 5.12 kWh battery modules in one system — no separate inverter needed
Needs whole-property backup or lives where the grid is weak or absent (farms, resorts, remote areas)V60006 kW inverter + 15 kWh battery, 9 kW PV input, on/off-grid, IP65
Wants portable power for camping, beach, events, small farm tools, or a room during brownoutsV500, M1200, M2200No installation; charge from the wall or solar panels
Just needs to keep phones and laptops chargedPowerbanksPocket-size, up to 65 W

2. What must keep running during a brownout?

  • A few lights, fans, Wi-Fi, phones → a portable station (V500 / M1200 / M2200) is often enough.
  • Refrigerator + lights + fans + TV → VENUS E 3.0, M2200, or V6000 depending on hours needed.
  • Aircon, water pump, or the whole house → MARS I PLUS (with enough battery modules) or V6000. These need a qualified installer.

Use the backup calculator to check both power (watts at the same time) and energy (kWh over the outage).

3. Indoors, outdoors, or both?

  • Outdoor / wet locations: V500, V6000 and VENUS E 3.0 are rated IP65 in their datasheets.
  • Moves around: M1200, M2200 and V500 are portable.
  • Fixed installation: MARS I PLUS and V6000 must be installed and commissioned by trained ESS professionals per their manuals.
Before quoting

Final system design needs a site survey by a qualified installer, and prices must come from the latest SRP list or Silvera's commercial team. See the customer qualification checklist.
