M1200 / M2200 troubleshooting

No error-code table in the manuals

Unlike the V500, the M1200 and M2200 manuals contain no numbered error-code list. Their troubleshooting section has one four-step checklist ("device does not charge"). The fixes below use that checklist together with the operating rules elsewhere in the same manuals. If a numbered code appears in the app, record it and send it to Silvera Solar Power. Do not guess what it means.

Your device does not charge from the power station

This is the manual's own checklist, in order:

  1. Is the port turned on? Make sure the output port is open and the LED indicator on its power button is lit.

  2. Is the battery low? Check the battery percentage on the screen. At 20% or below, recharge the power station.

  3. Is the device too powerful for the port? Check the device's power rating against the port limit:

    PortM1200M2200
    AC (total)1,800 W (3,600 W peak)2,400 W (4,800 W peak)
    USB-C1 / USB-C2100 W / 45 W100 W / 45 W
    USB-A (each)18 W18 W
    Car charger / DC (shared)12 V / 10 A12 V / 10 A
  4. Is the cable seated properly? Re-plug the device's cable, or try another one. Poor contact is a listed cause.

AC output suddenly turned off

Likely causeWhat to do (from the manual)
Over-power protection: the load exceeded 1,800 W (M1200) or 2,400 W (M2200)Unplug some appliances, then press the AC button to reactivate
No-load shutdown timer (timing-function icon on)This is normal when it was set in the app: AC switches off after the set time if nothing is drawing power. Change the setting in the MARSTEK app if needed
Battery depletedRecharge. With "AC output never to be shut down" set, AC runs until the battery is empty
Resettable overload protection switch trippedThe manual shows this switch on the side panel but gives no procedure. Remove the load, then contact Silvera Solar Power before resetting it if you are unsure
Motor and heating loads

Hair dryers, ovens, blenders and pumps are among the highest loads in the manuals' own runtime examples (800–1,500 W). Run them one at a time and keep the total under the AC rating.

Charging the power station is slow or doesn't start

SymptomCheck
AC charging slower than expectedManual times: M1200 ≈ 1.3 h, M2200 ≈ 1.5 h. Use the supplied AC cable. Charging only works at 0–40 °C
Solar not chargingPanel voltage must be 12–59 V DC and connected via XT60. Max 800 W (M1200) or 600 W per input × 2 (M2200). Other brands are fine if they meet these specs
Solar slower than the manual's times (M1200 1.5–5 h with an 800 W panel; M2200 2–6 h with up to 1,200 W)Weather, temperature, battery status, panel angle and shading all affect it (manual). Check the solar charge power shown on the screen
Car charging very slowNormal: the manual gives 9–12 h (M1200) and 18–22 h (M2200) from a car (120 W max)
Cold conditionsCharging is specified only for 0–40 °C. Warm the unit first, as the manual suggests (insulated or temperature-controlled space)

Screen and app issues

SymptomCheck
Screen is offShort-press the LED display switch. Turning the screen off is normal and saves power
Indicator 2 alarm shownThe English manual calls it "Overcharge alarm". The German and Italian sections call it an over-temperature alarm. Stop heavy use, make sure the fan and vents are clear, move the unit out of the sun or a hot car, and let it cool
Phone won't pair / new phoneLong-press the LED display switch to reset the Bluetooth pairing information, then pair again in the MARSTEK app
Wi-Fi / Bluetooth icon offReconnect from the MARSTEK app. See the app setup steps
Expansion battery not detectedCheck the expansion pack icon (indicator 1). The manuals give no connection procedure, so contact Silvera Solar Power

After storage or water exposure

  • Long storage: the manual says to top up every 3 months and keep it at 60–80%. If it was left empty for months, charge it with the AC cable first and charge until the screen shows 100%.
  • Fell into water: "place it in a safe, open place and keep it away from fire until it is completely dry." Do not switch it on wet. Contact Silvera Solar Power before using it again.

Stop and escalate

Contact Silvera Solar Power, and stop using the unit, if:

  • it is damaged, swollen or deformed, or the cord or plug is damaged
  • it smells of burning, smokes or makes unusual noises
  • AC output keeps shutting off with a small load
  • an alarm icon stays on after the unit has cooled

The manuals forbid user disassembly. Repairs must be done by a qualified person using identical replacement parts. The warranty is 5 years from purchase per the manuals, and proof of purchase may be required.
