VENUS E Mini troubleshooting and alarm codes

This page reproduces section 4.2 of the MARSTEK Venus E Mini user manual (MST-BIE2-1500). A fault shows as a red Warn/Error LED on the front panel. Check the code in the MARSTEK app.

Users must not open the unit

The manual says the Venus E Mini "should only be repaired by authorized personnel. Users are strictly prohibited from disassembling or repairing any internal components." Unplug it from the socket before any maintenance. In the table below, "turn the inverter off / power off the unit" means switching the Mini off with its On/Off button, nothing more.

General procedure

  1. Check all electrical connections and the battery status.
  2. Restart the system using the proper power-cycling procedure.
  3. Look up known issues in the user manual or FAQ.
  4. If the problem continues, contact customer support with: full device specifications, a detailed description of the fault, and any error codes or indicator states.

Alarm-code table

"Restart (5 min)" below is short for the manual's: "Turn the inverter off, wait for 5 minutes, and restart. If the problem persists, contact the manufacturer for technical support."

How this table was reconstructed

The Drive text extraction of the Mini manual breaks the table layout. On pages 13–15 the suggestions are separated from their codes. Codes 1–7, 13–17 and 28–37 come through cleanly. For codes 8–12 and 18–27, this page matches each suggestion to its code by content (e.g. the "check the meter connection" suggestion goes to code 24, Meter Communication Fault). Codes 18, 20, 21 and 26 all use the same "power off, wait 5 minutes, restart" advice, so the exact pairing does not change what to do. Check against the PDF before quoting a code as definitive.

Code 23 mentions PV panels

Code 23's cause says "insulation between PV panels and ground". The Mini is an AC-coupled battery with no PV input in its spec table, so this text looks inherited from MARSTEK's hybrid-inverter manuals. If code 23 appears, check the Mini's AC wiring and earthing, and escalate to MARSTEK support.
